tomorrow is orange shirt day in jail Jordan is working this in a special way grade 5 6 class design gel Jordan orange shirt with Crystal Henry a mohawk graphic artist from Aqua Saucony Advocate this is design we learned about a few indigenous symbols so that is what we are sharing today Trinity Loop notice it has no beginning or end it represents the indigenous group called the maid see the infinity loop is so important to the metis that it is on their flag the Macy Nation Homeland includes Manitoba statue on Alberta Northwest Pharmacy Northeast British Columbia and the southern Northwest Territories this is the induction on a milkshake is a figure made of tile stones or Boulders constructed to communicate with you throughout the Arctic in our design it represents the Inuit people the symbol for the First Nations is the thunder defendants many teachings and one of its meaning says honour First Nations live across Canada another symbol on your T-shirt it represents Healing Wisdom spirituality health safety longevity protection First Nations of North America Turtle Island you can see on this image of Turtle Island got its name what other symbols the hand represents work and achievements let us with our names when we designed this we all signed their names to represent on behalf of the whole school community that we believe that every child matters and our names represent our commitment towards towards a respectful relationship by listening to and learning more about indigenous history and teachings to build understanding empathy and respect listening to our Presentation tomorrow jail Jordan will be recognizing orange shirt day to remember all the indigenous children were sent away to residential schools in Canada it is also a day to remember that every Stiles batters
