Dear Partners in Catholic Education,
As part of our commitment to promoting, preserving and protecting Catholic Education, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is holding its annual Catholic Education Coalition event. We will join together as a Catholic community and have an opportunity to collaborate and discuss various ways to promote our faith through the Parish, School and Home partnership.
The Catholic Education Coalition gathering will take place at St. Michael Catholic High School on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. We are pleased to share that there will be a presentation by Bishop Gerard Bergie. Bishop Bergie is the Bishop of the Diocese of St. Catherine’s and responsible for the Education Commission of the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario.
We hope that you will be able to join us for our upcoming Catholic Education Coalition event as we address the unique needs of our region as we preserve, protect and proclaim the gift that is Catholic education.

Catholic schools have been part of Ontario communities for over 170 years and play a vital role in the province by producing graduates who are collaborative contributors to the common good of society.
The Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) provides the provincial voice for elected Catholic school trustees to promote and protect publicly funded Catholic education. The OCSTA has launched a new campaign, called Together in Faith, to strengthen support for Catholic education in Ontario.
Parents are invited to sign up and join in strengthening our community of support for Catholic education in Ontario by visiting www.togetherinfaith.ca. When you sign up, you will be provided with ongoing information about our Catholic system and will be counted among the many Ontarians who want to protect our incredible Catholic schools.
Thank you for continuing to choose Catholic education. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
